Scope Of The Assignment.
The Main Geographical Area Of Focus Will Be The East Usambara-Low Land And Coastal Forests Sub-Landscape. Particularly The Study Will Be Carried Out In 10 Selected Villages In Korogwe And Mkinga Districts, Tanga Region.
Methodology
This Consultancy Should Employ Acceptable Data Collection And Analysis Tools. The Selected Tools For Data Collection Should Lead To The Findings Of The Correct Data For The Population Of The Wildlife Species Including Distribution, Habitat Condition, Hunting Activities And Human Wildlife Conflicts. Generally, The Methodology Must Be Acceptable For Wildlife Population Surveys.
Required Profile Of The Consultancy: Required Qualifications
We Are Seeking An Expert In The Wildlife Sector Who Has Deep Knowledge Of The Forest And Wildlife Sector And Best Practices And Use Of Quality Standards In Natural Resources Management And Who Has A Passion For Research. The Ideal Consultant/S Should Have Extensive Experience In Research Of The East-Usambara -Coastal Forests And Their Biodiversity Values And Ongoing Wildlife Connectivity. •Undertake Community Capacity Needs Assessment Of Sustainable Agriculture Production Systems, Practices And Knowledge (Including Pesticide Management), Value Chains, And Markets
Key Deliverables.
•An Inception Report That Provides Details On The Tools, Methodology, Team Composition, Work Plan And Budget. An Inception Report Should Include A Clear Methodology For The Assignment (Data Collection And Analysis)
