REQUEST FOR TENDER
STANDBY GENERATOR HIRE
North Mara Gold Mine, a fully owned subsidiary of Twiga Minerals Corporation, which is ultimately owned by Barick Gold Corporation and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania
requests the submission of Tenders from reputable, experienced, certified and qualified parties to provide the flowing services:
Standby Generator Hire which includes SMVA generation (preferably 4 x 1250kVA generators), fuel tanks, step up transformers to 6.6kV, Control and power cables, distribution Ring Main Unit, Synchronisation panel for sharing of Grid load and back synchronisation.
Pre-qualification criteria
(1) Excellent safety records with relevant standards and procedures,
(2) At least 10- years’ experience of generator hire in the mining industry.
(3) Ability to demonstrate track record and evidence/references of at least 3 actively working large generator hire sites of at least 4MVA.
(4) Experienced and competent key personal for design installation, maintenance and operation of equipment.
(5) Compliance with the Local Content Regulations.
(6) Ability to manage interfacing with Grid power and load control during Grid power resumption
(7) Demonstrated machine availability of at least 99 percent, with spare part inventory.
