1.0 INTRODUCTION
Ongeza is a successful enterprise creating a sustainable and scalable model that reaches rural customers in the last mile, selling directly to rural customers. Ongeza’s products save rural customers money, increase their income and improve their quality of life. Products include but not limited to solar light, agricultural equipment and inputs. Ongeza plans to grow quickly across Tanzania with the Mission of “Improving the living standards of rural people by providing solutions related to their needs.”
2.0 POSITION: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (4 POSTS)
3.0 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and develop the existing Ongeza’s MIS. The System Comprises of Apps and Web Applications each sharing data across each other.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on data requirements and uses – Participate in training to teams whenever necessary.
- Write clean and maintainable code and ensure it is testable with clear scenarios.
4.0 QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a Diploma in an IT related course
- Experience in PHP, MVC, MYSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, GIT
- Experience in Android Development, particularly JAVA is an added advantage
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and eager to learn
- Very Strong debugging skills
- Fluent in both English and Swahili
