Consultancy title: Designing and Supervising the Construction of Gold Ores Processing and Washing Facilities
- The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received funds from the World Bank
toward the cost of the Environmental Health and Pollution Management Project (EHPMP) and
intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. - The consulting services (the Services) includes: Designing and Supervising the Construction of
Gold Ores Processing and Washing Facilities in Mwanza, Geita, Singida, Mara, Songwe, Mbeya
and Shinyanga regions. - The National Environment Management Council (NEMC) now invites eligible firms to indicate
their interest in providing the Services. Interested firm should provide information demonstrating that they having the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The shortlisting criteria: (a) Team Leader Registered by Engineers Registration Board (ERB); (b) Demonstrate Experience in ASGM Processing activities; and (c) Demonstrate Experience in Design and supervision of the Engineering Works related to ASGM activities and Other criteria are included in the ToR. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. - A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultants’ Qualification Selection (COS)
method set out in the Consultant Guidelines. - Further information including Terms of reference (ToR) will be obtained at the address below
during office hours from 0900 to 1600 hours on working days, excluding public holidays.
