REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE PROVISION OF VEHICLE RENTAL SERVICES FOR EACOP PROJECT REF. 10006827
TOTAL East Africa Midstream BY. (Company) Tanzania, an Oil and Gas company, invites experienced and reputable companies to express their interest in providing Vehicle Rental Services including maintenance [preventive and periodic), tyre maintenance/management and provision of associated support for the East African Crude Oi Pipeline (EACOP) project.
The EACOP project involves the construction and Operation of a buried, cross-border pipeline to transport crude oil from the Lake Albert area in Uganda to the eastern coast of Tanzania for export to international markets, the pipeline will run from Kabaale in Hoima District, Uganda, to Chongoleani, Tanga Region, in Tanzania. The length of the pipeline is early 1,443 km, of which 1,147 km will be in Tanzania The section of the pipeline in Tanzania will Traverse eight (8) regions; Kagera, Geita, Shinyanga, Tabora, Singida, Dodoma, Manyara and Tanga. The Pipeline will traverse 27 administrative district councils and 231 Villages.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF THE SERVICES:
The brief Scope of Work (SOW) is related to the Provision of Vehicle Rental Services including maintenance services dedicated for Head Office in Dar Es Salaam and field based locations in the eight (8) regions where the pipeline will traverse in Tanzania.
The services shall include:
- Provision of Vehicle Rental Services.
- Maintenance: preventive and periodic.
- Tyre maintenance / management.
- All of the mentioned to include provision of qualified / certified personnel and maintenance service for the light vehicles as well as all associated support.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Companies expressing their interest are invited to document their request with:
- Proof of registration as a vehicle rental / Rent a Car company as required under Tanzanian Law.
- Proof of registration with the Tanzania Revenue Authority(TRA) and Tax Clearance Certificate for the latest year available.
- Business license.
- List of branches in Tanzania,
- Brief description of experience in car rental and vehicle maintenance services.
- Proposed key personnel who will work on this Project and their relevant experience in providing similar services.
- Registration with local suppliers’ database with EWURA.

Note: The EACOP project will review and assess the documents provided by the interested companies. to derive a list of prequalified companied. Only prequalified companies will receive, subject to signature of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (MDA), invitation to submit bids in furtherance of the call for tender process.
