Job Title: TMA SACCOS Loan Officer (1 position)
Location: Dodoma
Full-Time.
Reporting: TMA SACCOS Manager
Duties and Responsibilities of TMA SACCOS Loan Officer
1. Develop and implement strategies to attract new borrowers and expand the cooperative’s
lending reach.
2. Conduct thorough credit assessments and risk evaluations for loan applicants, ensuring
sound lending decisions.
3. Process loan applications efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely communication with
applicants.
4. Follow up on the disbursement of approved loans, ensuring compliance with loan terms
and conditions.
5. Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed for audit and
regulatory purposes.
6. Carry out product reviews and satisfaction surveys.
7. Educate members about different loan products, repayment options, and financial literacy.
8. Provide clear and transparent communication to borrowers about their loan terms, rights,
and responsibilities.
9. Monitor loan accounts, track repayments, and proactively address any delinquent accounts.
10. Stay updated on lending regulations and ensure loan processes align with legal
requirements.
11. Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile loan-related financial transactions and
ensure accurate reporting.
12. Work closely with the marketing team to contribute to loan product development and
promotional efforts.
13. Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans.
14. Assess Member’s needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans.
15. Loan repayment reminder to members every month.
16. Submission of loan request butches to loan committee and prepare meeting minutes on
every butch approval meeting.
17. Prepare monthly report on loan progress
Qualifications and Skills of TMA SACCOS Loan Officer
1. He/she should have a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Management and Accounting,
Bachelor of Finance or a similar field from a college recognized by the Government,
2. Degree Holder; and/or Degree in Accounting, finance, and experience in the field of
SACCOS will be given priority.
3. Must have experience working in a financial institution for a period of not less than three
(3) years,
4. He/she should have a great understanding in matters of Loans in SACCOS or
Microfinance.
5. Must have computer skills, especially in accounting systems.
6. He / She should not exceed 35 years of age.
