JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Service Bingwa/Butler. The person will play a crucial role in providing high quality services to our clients and the team in Mulungu Village Usangu, Mbarali-Mbeya.

        Position: Service Bingwa/Butler    (01)

      Reports to: Head, Six Rivers Training Academy (SRATA)

      Location: Mulungu Village, Mbarali-Mbeya

      Start date: Immediately.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet guests when they arrive and getting them settled in their rooms.
  • Link between the guest and management.
  • Providing personalized service to guests
  • Work hand in hand with managers and guides to make sure guest are satisfied.
  • A butler must have a keen eye for details (in guest room).
  • Anticipate guests’ needs by learning their (preferences, allergies, likes and dislikes,
  • Have a thorough understanding of food and beverage.
  • Assess and restock wine and spirit in guest rooms per standard.
  • Must be able to read guest moods and liaise with managers if need be.
  • Serve meals and pour drinks for guests.
  • Communicate and work with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned at the most convenient time for guests.
  • Ensure guests’ rooms are clean and tidy up when necessary.
  • See guests off when they check out.
  • Always remain well-groomed.
  • Keep up to date on all hotel and lodges policies on safety and hygiene.
  • Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism, and a pleasant demeanor.
  • Train students to be familiar with butler or service bingwa roles.
  • Do any other duty(ies) that may be assigned by a Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as a Butler or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to as the guest need arises.
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Knowledge of area restaurants, theaters and other attractions
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.
  • Knowledge of food and wine pairings is a plus.
  • A butler must have high level routine of personal hygiene.
