We are seeking the responsible & experienced individual to fill the following position:
POSITION: PASTRY CHEF (1 POST).
REPORTING TO: HEAD CHEF.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Create various pastries and other confections by following recipes.
• Decorate pastries using a variety of different icings and toppings.
• Order new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the kitchen’s
pastry section.
• Prepare ingredients and handle baking equipment.
• Create and design custom-made desserts and pastries according to
client specifications.
• Monitor the stock of baking ingredients and equipment.
• Ensure the pastry section is clean all the time & adheres to health
regulations.
Education and Qualification.
• 2 – 3 years of experience working as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role.
• Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, or relevant field.
• Experience with pastry-making techniques, such as baking, decorating.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of food cost.
• Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert and cake decorating.
