THE JOB
As the Part-time HR Operations Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth HR operations in Tanzania. You will be managing payroll, handling staff communication, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare payroll and submit it on time for processing to ensure employees receive their salaries promptly.
  • Calculate and submit deductions related to NSSF and NHIF to relevant bodies for staff Tanzania.
  • Handle all communication with staff and update the director on any issues affecting the staff.
  • Assist in outsourcing and recruiting employees by shortlisting, inviting them for interviews, administering aptitude tests, and receiving calls from potential candidates.
  • Liaise with various parties regarding HR policies and other issues.
  • Ensure proper procedures are followed during the separation of employees.
  • Follow up on employees whose contracts are ending and inform the supervisor for necessary action.
  • Direct and coordinate the review, development, and operational restructure of support programs, services, and initiatives; provide direction and leadership in implementing and managing change.
  • Monitor program efficiency and success; revise processes and procedures to improve program effectiveness.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of managerial, professional, and administrative support staff; establish benchmarks and standards, monitor workload and productivity, evaluate performance, promote staff training and development, and provide leadership in resolving complex issues.
  • Serve as a primary source of consultation and expertise to administration and management on strategic and complex HR operational issues.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets for the organization and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business Administration or any business-related course.
  • At least 2 years of experience within the same role.
