The Institute of Adult Education (IAE) invites applications for the position of Tutorial Assistant – Counselling and Psychology.

Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Teaching students up to NTA Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma).
• Assisting in conducting tutorials and practical exercises for students under close supervision.
• Preparing learning resources for tutorial exercises.
• Organizing and coordinating adult education activities.
• Writing course materials for adult and non-formal education.
• Preparing teaching manuals and case studies for distance students.
• Writing and editing literacy and post-literacy materials.
• Assisting in conducting research under close supervision.
• Carrying out consultancy and community services under close supervision.
• Performing any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• A bachelor’s degree with a GPA of at least 3.5 in one of the following fields:
  • Psychology
  • Counselling
  • Educational psychology
• Relevant qualifications must be obtained from a recognized institution.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive remuneration according to the PHTS 1 salary scale.
