Duties and responsibilities

The Technician II (Carriage and Wagon Examiner) will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintaining rolling stock and locomotives.
• Maintaining workshop machinery and plants.
• Servicing refrigeration and air conditioning facilities.
• Servicing handling equipment and ancillary plants.
• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Holder of a Full Technician Certificate (FTC); or
• Holder of an Ordinary Diploma in Carriage and Wagon Mechanical Technology; or
• Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Remuneration

The successful candidates will be paid according to the TRCS 3 salary scale.
