Job Purpose
Support the development of insurance business, to ensure prudent underwriting, timely policy administration and satisfactory client servicing in the respective business line assigned and ensuring that the department achieves the desired KPI while observing compliance in all internal and regulatory policies and requirements.

Principle Responsibilities

Daily reconciliation of all collections and premium accounts.
To ensure all disbursed loans have insurance arrangement in place.
Providing technical support to the branches in provision of insurance products and services, such as system underwriting and insurance bookings.
Following up on monthly declaration schedules from bank units.
Analyzing insurance quotes from insurance companies’ policies and negotiating with underwriters to find the most suitable insurance for clients at the best price;
Guiding insurance specified persons in business booking in the system from branch level to Zonal.
Provide timely underwriting training to the team and the branches within the span of control for improved performance.
Assisting manager operations & compliance in preparing reports and work with management team as required.
Assist in coordinate all customer relations issue with the customer experience team and ensure all aspects of customer queries are responded to within the agreed SLA.
Building and maintaining ongoing relationships with clients including scheduling and attending meetings and understanding the nature of clients’ businesses or lives for head office-based client and wherever required to assist zonal.
Participating in the development of digital platforms, UAT and other initiatives by the unit.
Attending daily issues and queries with insurers on underwriting raised in attention to clarifications.
Developing relationships with underwriters to achieve continuous sound organization business relationship.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
At least two (2) years of work experience, one of which must have been served in a reputable institution in a closer or similar role in Insurance industry
Insurance Qualification with minimum qualification of Certificate of Proficiency. (COP)
Possess thorough knowledge of underwriting and service-related process.
Strong underwriting capability with sound decision-making and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a good understanding of insurance market procedures and regulatory requirements.
High level of computer literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
