Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for operating mechanical plant and handling equipment in accordance with approved procedures, policies, and safety requirements. Key duties include:

• Operating winches and cranes as per approved procedures and policies.
• Providing quality services in plant operation.
• Performing gangway activities.
• Operating mechanical equipment, including:
  • Winches
  • Forklifts
  • Terminal tractors
  • Cranes
• Carrying out loading, offloading or discharging, and delivery of motor vehicles and other cargo into and from trains.
• Driving and operating mechanical handling equipment within workshops, yard premises, and depot yards, including:
  • Forklifts
  • Shunting tractors
  • Green butts
  • Stationary pillars
  • Gantry manual or powered equipment
• Performing any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

• Holder of a Certificate with Basic Driving Certificate offered by one of the following:
  • VETA
  • Bandari College
  • TIRTEC
  • Any recognized institution
• Must possess a Class F or G Driving License.

Remuneration

Successful candidates will be paid according to the applicable salary scale:
