Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing instructional, training, evaluation, research, and administrative duties in the area of telecommunication and related specializations.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Conducting short courses and seminars in respective areas of specialization, including instructional methods courses such as pedagogy.
• Preparing course plans and lesson plans for respective subjects of specialization.
• Supervising students during practical training.
• Following up and submitting post-training evaluations on trainees.
• Planning and organizing traffic programmes.
• Conducting courses and seminars for senior staff of the Corporation.
• Collecting and analyzing information and data related to the fields of specialization.
• Auditing training objectives and course contents, and recommending to the Principal the required training equipment and materials.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of instructors under his supervision and preparing appropriate reports for the Principal.
• Conducting research related to instructional needs within and outside TRL.
• Conducting consultations and research on training matters in liaison with district and headquarters officers.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by a superior.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree, NTA Level 8, or equivalent qualification in one of the following fields:
  • Signal and Telecommunication Technology
  • Telecommunication Engineering
  • Any other equivalent relevant field
• The qualification must be obtained from a recognized institution.
• Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Applicants must be eligible for registration as technical teachers.
• Candidates must be registered by the Engineers Registration Board as Graduate Engineers.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will be paid according to the TRCS 6 salary scale.
