Duties and responsibilities

The Instructor II (Civil Engineer) will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct short courses and seminars in the respective areas of specialization, including instructional methods courses (pedagogical).
• Prepare course and lesson plans for the respective subjects of specialization.
• Supervise students during practical training.
• Follow up and submit post-training evaluations of trainees.
• Plan and organize traffic programmes.
• Conduct courses and seminars for senior staff of the Corporation.
• Collect and analyse information and data related to the relevant fields of specialization.
• Audit training objectives and course content, and recommend the required training equipment and materials to the Principal.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of instructors under their supervision and submit appropriate reports to the Principal.
• Conduct research on instructional needs within and outside TRC.
• Conduct consultations and research on training matters in liaison with district and headquarters officers.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree at NTA Level 8 or an equivalent qualification.
• The qualification must be a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 from a recognized institution.
• Be eligible for registration as a technical teacher.
• Be registered by the respective professional board as a Graduate Engineer or Professional Engineer.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive remuneration according to TRCS 6.
