House Manager is Needed Urgently

The employer is a mother of two girls (ages 13 and 14) living in a 3-bedroom home with a small garden in Kijitonyama. We are seeking a trustworthy and proactive House Manager to help ensure the home remains organized, welcoming, and well-managed.

TITLE: House Manager

REPORTS TO: Lady of the house
LOCATION: Kijitonyama, Dar es Salaam
GENDER: Female
AGE: 28 – 40 years

POSITION SUMMARY

The House Manager will work closely with the Lady of the House to ensure a warm, organized, and well-functioning home environment. The role is hands-on and requires someone who is reliable, takes initiative, and is comfortable managing household needs independently. A driver’s license will be an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and prepare family meals
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the home
• Inventory tracking and grocery shopping
• Assist with hosting events when required
• Take care of the garden

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Training or experience in hospitality, food preparation, or household management (Diploma/Degree an advantage)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Trustworthy, discreet, and reliable with excellent communication skills
• Able to manage time and tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to location, another added advantage.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with flexibility when needed. – Times to discuss and align.

COMPENSATION

• A fair and competitive part-time salary will be offered, based on skills and experience.
