Job Overview

Kairuki Hospital is seeking professional and compassionate hospital receptionists to join its team.

The successful candidates will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. They will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment, supporting patients and staff, and ensuring smooth hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

The hospital receptionists will be responsible for the following duties:

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and patient check-ins.
• Answer and direct phone calls efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the hospital’s electronic system.
• Handle billing inquiries and insurance verification.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with hospital policies.
• Provide administrative support to medical and nursing staff.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should have the following qualifications and skills:

• Diploma in Front Office Management, Office Administration, Health Records, or a related field.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered attitude.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a health facility.
