Role overview
The Floor Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the restaurant, covering both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. The position requires a hands-on leader who can maintain guest satisfaction, strengthen team performance and support efficient daily operations.
Main responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily restaurant operations across the dining area, kitchen, bar and customer-service functions.
- Ensure effective coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain smooth service.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, daily operational checklists and shift handovers.
- Work with the Head Chef to monitor food preparation, presentation, portion control, hygiene and consistency.
- Ensure food quality, taste and service times meet established menu standards.
- Monitor kitchen staff attendance, discipline and productivity.
- Lead and supervise waiters, hosts, bar staff, kitchen employees and cleaning teams.
- Support recruitment, training, performance evaluation and development of restaurant employees.
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular staff briefings and reviews.
- Maintain a visible presence on the restaurant floor and address guest complaints professionally.
- Ensure high customer-service standards throughout the restaurant.
- Manage VIP guests and large group bookings with appropriate attention and professionalism.

Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a supervisory or floor-management role within hospitality, a restaurant, lounge, bar or retail operation.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent customer-service and complaint-handling abilities.
- Proven ability to manage daily floor operations, including staff scheduling, table or space allocation and service flow.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards and company-policy compliance.
- Basic computer skills, including POS systems, reporting and MS Office.
Working conditions

Main responsibilities
Guest reception and welcome
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Acknowledge guests promptly and courteously, including during busy periods.
- Maintain professional hospitality etiquette and a friendly, welcoming manner.
- Confirm reservations and establish seating preferences where applicable.
- Escort guests to assigned tables and assist with seating.
- Ensure guests feel comfortable and attended to from arrival.
- Provide personalized assistance to VIP and returning guests in line with company standards.
Reservations and table management
- Manage reservations through the approved reservation system, telephone, social media and other designated channels.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reservation records.

Role overview
The CASHIER will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, safeguarding cash and other forms of payment, operating the Point-of-Sale system, issuing receipts and maintaining accurate transaction records.
The position requires a trustworthy, efficient and detail-oriented candidate who can ensure every transaction follows approved company procedures, prices, discounts, promotions and internal financial controls.
Main responsibilities
Cash and payment management
- Receive and accurately process payments by cash, credit or debit card, mobile money and bank transfer.
- Count cash carefully before processing transactions and provide customers with the correct change.
- Ensure all cash transactions are properly recorded in the POS system.
- Keep the assigned cash float secure and verify the opening balance at the beginning of each shift.
- Report suspected counterfeit notes, fraudulent transactions, discrepancies or suspicious activity immediately.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding cash balances, sales information, customer transactions and financial records.
- Ensure cash received is properly accounted for and handed over according to company procedures.
- Reconcile card and mobile-money transactions against system reports.
- Identify and report cash shortages or excess amounts.
- Prepare cashier reconciliation or cash-up reports.
- Reconcile physical cash against POS sales reports at shift closing.
- Submit cash and supporting documents to the authorized person.
- Organize receipts, payment slips, vouchers and supporting records and complete required cash-handover documentation.
POS system operations
- Operate the restaurant POS system accurately and efficiently.
- Enter transactions based on authorized orders from waiters, bartenders, supervisors and other approved staff.
- Verify items, prices, quantities, discounts, complimentary items, taxes and service charges before completing transactions.
- Ensure every sale is entered into the POS system before accepting payment.
- Print and issue receipts where applicable.
- Process authorized voids, cancellations, refunds and corrections according to company procedures.
- Report POS, network, printer and other technical problems promptly.
- Ensure all transactions are properly closed at the end of each shift.
Sales and order control
- Cross-check bills against orders before accepting payment.
- Confirm quantities and prices on final bills against customers’ actual orders.
- Watch for unusual transaction patterns, duplicate entries, unauthorized discounts, excessive voids and suspicious cancellations.
- Report suspected revenue leakage, manipulation or irregular activity immediately.
- Work with waiters, bartenders, supervisors, kitchen staff and management to resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications and experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field.
- Previous experience as a Cashier, preferably in a high-end restaurant, hotel, bar, lounge or similar hospitality environment.
- Proven experience operating a restaurant POS system and other accounting systems.
- Good knowledge of cash-handling and reconciliation procedures.
- Basic computer and numerical skills.
- Good understanding of customer-service standards.
