Duties and responsibilities

The Engineer II (Signal & Telecommunication) will:

• Assist in the maintenance of signal and telecommunication (S&T) equipment and systems.
• Assist in the installation of Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) and Meter Gauge Railway (MGR) signals, telecommunication networks, and equipment.
• Assist in preparing specifications for the procurement of signal and telecommunication equipment and gadgets.
• Prepare technical plans and designs for signal and telecommunication projects.
• Prepare and submit periodic technical reports.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Engineers Registration Board as a Graduate Engineer.

Remuneration

The successful applicant will receive remuneration according to TRCS 6.
