World Health Organization is the United Nations specialized agency responsible for directing and coordinating international health efforts. Since its establishment in 1948, WHO has worked with governments and partners to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve vulnerable populations, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to attain the highest possible standard of health.
In Tanzania, WHO works closely with the Government and health sector partners to strengthen national health systems, improve emergency preparedness and response, and promote evidence-based decision-making.
