Chief Executive Officer

Lead AML Finance into its next era

AML Finance Limited is a Bank of Tanzania-regulated lender to established and growth-oriented SMEs, targeting over TZS 200 billion in assets by 2030. The CEO will lead the institution’s next phase of growth, institutionalization and leadership transition.

The role

Combine commercial leadership with strong credit judgment, financial discipline and regulatory credibility, translating growth ambitions into sustainable performance.

Key accountabilities

• Execute the 2025–2030 strategy and deliver sustainable profitability.
• Strengthen credit quality, portfolio monitoring, collections and recovery.
• Diversify funding; improve systems, technology and operational efficiency.
• Build a high-performing team and a culture of accountability and integrity.
• Sustain trust with the Board, regulators, investors, lenders and customers.

Candidate profile

• 15+ years in banking, non-bank or SME finance, microfinance or development finance, including senior executive leadership.
• Proven delivery of growth, transformation and sustainable profitability.
• Deep SME credit and portfolio-quality expertise; funding mobilisation and investor engagement an advantage.
• Strong record in regulatory compliance, governance and risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA an advantage. Tanzania or comparable African market experience desirable.
