A company is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting or finance, knowledge of Tanzania tax laws, and practical experience using accounting software.

Position: Accountant

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles

Requirements

The successful candidate should have the following skills and competencies:

• Proficiency in Tally and QuickBooks
• Familiarity with Tanzania Tax Laws and Regulations
• Ability to prepare and manage tax returns, including:
• SDL
• PAYE
• WHT
• Stamp Duty
• Experience in payroll management and preparation of statutory deductions
• Experience dealing with business license matters
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and documentation
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Good communication and organizational skills

Key responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely statutory compliance
• Process payroll and statutory deductions
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and Tanzania tax regulations
