Job vacancy: Accountant
A company is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting or finance, knowledge of Tanzania tax laws, and practical experience using accounting software.

Qualifications and experience
Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Requirements
The successful candidate should have the following skills and competencies:
- Proficiency in Tally and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with Tanzania Tax Laws and Regulations
- Ability to prepare and manage tax returns, including:
- Experience in payroll management and preparation of statutory deductions
- Experience dealing with business license matters
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and documentation
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Good communication and organizational skills
Key responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely statutory compliance
- Process payroll and statutory deductions
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and Tanzania tax regulations
