Key responsibilities
- Lead the computing department, taking overall responsibility for the quality, coherence, and progression of computing education across all year groups (Years 1 – 6).
- Plan and deliver progressive cambridge primary computing lessons for Years 3-6, covering computational thinking, programming, data literacy, netwroking, robotics and digital citizenship, with ongoing assessment and feedback
- lead a robotics & STEM club for Year 3- 6, delivering hands on project based sessions in electronics, sensors, and programming using kits such as Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, and mBot,, Preparing learners for external competitions while managing equipment’s to the school community.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science information with an Ict/computing specialism, or a closely related STEM field
- Minimum 2 years classroom experience teaching Computing or ICT at primary or lower secondary level.
- A recognized teaching qualifications. (PGCE, BED or national equivalents.)
