Duties and responsibilities

The Accounts Assistant Grade II will be responsible for the following:

• Filing accounts documents.
• Arranging accounts files in storage.
• Dispatching cheques to payees.
• Preparing payment vouchers.
• Serving as a cashier for both receiving and paying funds, issuing receipts for funds received, and obtaining acknowledgement for funds paid.
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring it is up to date.
• Maintaining staff imprest records and retirements.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess either of the following:

• A Certificate in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration/Commerce majoring in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution; or
• ATEC I offered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

Remuneration

The successful candidates will receive remuneration according to the NCTSS 2.1 salary scale.
