A Chef is responsible for using their culinary expertise to create appetizing dishes for diners to enjoy. A chef is also  responsible in overseeing kitchen staff, tasting dishes before being served and restocking food produce as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. a) Collaborate closely with the executive chef to develop and execute food and drink menus b) Ensure the production of high-quality plates that excel in both presentation and taste
  2. c) Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  3. d) Assist in menu planning, inventory management, and ordering supplies
  4. e) Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations in all kitchen areas
  5. f) Monitor and upkeep kitchen equipment for optimal functionality
  6. g) Offer creative input to enhance kitchen performance and efficiency

QUALIFICATION

The ideal candidate for this role should have

  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
  • Effective leadership abilities to manage kitchen staff efficiently
  • Certificate or diploma equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent time-management skills to handle fast-paced environments
  • Proficient problem-solving capabilities to address challenges effectively
  • Formal culinary training is preferred
  • Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a high-end hospitality setting at least 2 year and above
  • Effective communication and team-building skills.
