Invitation for Bids

1. This invitation for Bid follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in the PPRA Tender Portal, DAWASA websites, Daily News No. ISSN 0856-3812;12401 on 31 May, 2019.
2. Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority has set aside funds for the operation during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the procurement of Domestic Water Meters and Water Meter Gate Valves with a Set of Plastic Couplings
3. The Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority now invites sealed bids from eligible Suppliers of the following goods: –

3. Set of Plastic Coupling 15mm PC50,000 Bidders are required to bid all items. Tendering will be conducted through the International competitive procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No.446 as amended in 2016, and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board, DAWASA Building, Dunga / Malanga Street, opposite to Mwananyamala Hospital PO BOX 1573 Dar es Salaam from 0800 to 1600 hrs, on Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays.
5. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be obtained by interested and eligible Bidder from the office of The Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board upon payment of non-refundable fee of Tshs 200,000.00 from 0800 to 1600 hrs, local time on Mondays to Fridays except public holidays. Payment should be made to ANY BRANCH OF CRDB BANK A/C NO. 01J1021921900, a copy of Pay in Slip should be submitted to the Secretary, DAWASA Tender Board, DAWASA Building, Dunga/ Malanga street, Opposite Mwananyamala Hospital, Dar es Salaam.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in an acceptable form in the amount specified in the bid document.
7. All bids in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below clearly marked Supply of Domestic Water Meters and Water Meter Gate Valves with a Set of Plastic Coupling. Bid Number AE/033/2019-2020/G/01 at DAWASA building on or before 11:00hrs on Tuesday 13 August, 2019, Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the opening ceremony at the DAWASA Board Room, DAWASA Building, Dunga/Malanga Street, Opposite Mwananyamala Hospital, Dar es Salaam.
8. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
