WWF Tanzania County Office is a Non- Government Organization dealing with environmental protection in Tanzania since 1990. WWF global mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by: i) conserving the world’s biological diversity; ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable and iii) promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption
Since 2017, WWF Tanzania with support from WWF Sweden and UK have been working with MNRT, TAWA, TANAPA and other conservation institutions in supporting rhino conservation, Tanzania with main focus in Selous/Nyerere National Park and other rhino areas. The management of natural resources in Selous/Nyerere and other Protected Areas require frequent field ecological monitoring and surveillance to stop illegal wildlife intake and gather information about wildlife populations and other attractions, stimulating tourism opportunities. In doing that, WWF recognize the need of adding more equipment in supporting rangers field work. Therefore, WWF Tanzania planned to procure field gears for wildlife monitoring, these includes binoculars, camping tents, camera traps, GPS and External drive in order to support rhino monitoring and surveillance.
Eligibility and Qualification Requirements
- Possession of a registration professional certificate or licence related to tender requesting from relevant authorities;
- The bidder must attach a minimum of three or more similar related assignments undertaken in the past 2 years
- The bidder must have positive reputation for good business practice and professionalism:
- Current physical location of the bidder mentioning region and district where is registered and operating, which may be inspected for verification;
WWF Tanzania now invites applications from eligible registered local suppliers to supply equipment and other supplies as per Lots # 1-2 listed below
