INVITATION FOR BIDS

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in Zanzibar Leo ISSN 1821-8556 Issue no 6317 dated 20th August,2021
2. The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar has set aside funds for the operation of the Ministry of Health Social Welfare Elderly Gender and Children during the financial year 2021-2022. It 1s intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Supply of Essential Medicines and Health Commodities for frame Work Contract.
3. The Ministry of Health Social Welfare Elderly Gender and Children invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers for supplying of Essential Medicines and Health Commodities for frame Work Contract) where a bidder may quote more than one lots of the following

5.Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of 2016 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Regulations unless otherwise stated in the Bid Data Sheet
6. Interested Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Procurement and Disposal Management Unity, P.O. Box 236 Mnazi Mmoja from at 8:00am up to 3:30pm local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
7. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania Shilling One hundred thousand (100,000/=). Payment should be settled through the following Account details: Peoples Bank of Zanzibar (PBZ) account number 0707968000
8. The Deadline for submission of tender and opening will be on Tuesday 26th October, 2021 at 14:00hrs at, the Ministry Conference room 1st Floor. All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security of Tanzania Shilling twelve million only (12,000,000.00) for each lot where bidder may have quoted sub lot.
9. All Bids in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address of Secretary Ministerial Tender Board Ministry of Health Social Welfare Elderly and Children. P.O. Box 236, Mnazi Mmoja, Zanzibar. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Ministry’s Conference room.
10. Late bids, portion of bids, electronic bids, and bids not received, bids not opened and not read out in public at the bids opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance.
