Instructional Leadership Fellowship Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Silverleaf Instructional Leadership Fellowship, a 2.5-year developmental program aimed at building a pipeline of highly effective school leaders within and beyond Silverleaf Academy.
- Commitment to the Fellowship
- Fellows are required to report and remain at their assigned station for the entire 2.5-year duration, including:
○ 6-month intensive training phase
○ 2-year in-school leadership development phase
- Attendance and Participation
- Fellows must attend a monthly full-day training session, professional development workshops, coaching meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Daily attendance must be recorded and signed as directed by the Silverleaf Academy.
- Absences must be communicated and approved in advance by the Program Lead.
- Conduct and Work Ethic
- Fellows must adhere to all workplace policies, rules, and professional codes of conduct as set by the Silverleaf Academy.
- All duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisors must be executed with integrity, excellence, and commitment.
- Fellows must remain at their assigned workplace during work hours, unless otherwise authorised.
- Use of Resources and Property
- Fellows are responsible for any equipment, tools, or materials issued by the Silverleaf Academy
- All property must be returned in good condition at the end of the fellowship or upon exit from the program.
- Confidentiality
- Fellows must maintain the confidentiality of all internal communications, documents, and operations related to Silverleaf Academy or any partner institution.
- Breach of confidentiality may result in termination from the fellowship.
- Financial Responsibility
Silverleaf Academy will provide the following support to fellows during the fellowship period:
- Transport to and from training or placement locations, based on distance and associated costs. Meals during official training(once a month-Saturday)
- Accommodation for fellows travelling from a distant location.
Fellows will be responsible for covering personal expenses, including but not limited to:
- Medical expenses
- Personal supplies and other non-covered items
- Performance Expectations Fellows will be assessed on:
○ Participation and professionalism
○ Quality of work and implementation of leadership practices ○ Development of a leadership portfolio
Successful completion does not guarantee promotion, but does provide eligibility for leadership roles at Silverleaf.
- Professional Development and IP
- Fellows must engage fully with all training materials and developmental content.
- All instructional content, frameworks, and resources are the intellectual property of Silverleaf Academy and Nova Pioneer and must not be shared without permission.
- Withdrawal and Termination
- Fellows wishing to withdraw must submit a formal written notice to the Program Lead.
- Silverleaf Academy reserves the right to terminate participation for:
○ Poor performance
○ Misconduct
○ Breach of fellowship terms
○ Inability to meet fellowship obligations
- Fellowship Certification
- Upon successful completion of the program, fellows will receive a Leadership Fellowship Certificate, signifying their readiness to serve in advanced school leadership roles.
