                                               Job Title: Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:
    • Research potential markets, industries, and client segments to identify new opportunities for business growth.
    • Prospect new clients, generate leads, and create opportunities for new business.
    • Initiate contact with prospective clients and develop new relationships.
  2. Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
    • Analyse data to identify opportunities for growth and areas to improve.
    • Monitor industry developments and stay informed about market conditions.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and partners.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
    • Manage client satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  4. Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement business strategies and plans to meet company revenue and growth targets.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, sales, and operations development to ensure alignment of goals and initiatives.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and other business terms to secure deals that benefit the company.
  5. Sales and Revenue Generation:
    • Drive the sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
    • Identify key decision-makers and present tailored solutions to meet their needs.
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas.

 

 

6. Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth execution of business development strategies.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members or sales staff.
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote the company.

7. Reporting and Forecasting:

    • Track and report on business development activities, including leads, prospects, and closed deals.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market opportunities.
    • Provide recommendations based on analysis to improve processes and outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or an MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 8 years of experience in business development in edible Oil, Petroleum and Gas companies, being in managerial position.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
    • Knowledge of market research techniques and industry trends.
